Here We Go!

Wow! That's me...sigh...all 196 lbs of me. I can't tell you how frightening it is to actually post that weight (and that picture) on a public blog! But I can't live in denial any longer. It's not about image anymore, it's about my health. I need to do this so I can be a better, more active mommy. I also need to get healthy if I want to give my future babies a fighting chance.

I've been making healthy choices all week, but tomorrow is the day I'm going to put it all out on the table. Please stop by often and send me good affirmations along the way. A healthy recipe or workout tips are always appreciated!

Love,
EmCat

Em,
I am never the "first" at anything! I will be your "first blogger" if you will have me.(SMILE)
It takes courage to do this. Hopefully you will be a good example to me and many others.
GO FOR IT.....

I'm so excited for you!! I've been trying to lose my 70 pounds from pregnancy and have 6 left. If I can do it, anyone can. You are going to feel great! I'll check back often.

You are awesome! Can't wait to see your progress!

EM--you're awesome! Start off slow by changing a few habits at a time. Lay off the pop, don't eat after six pm, and cut back on the sugar intake. Drink a big glass of water just before sitting down to a meal.
We're thinking of you!

YAHOO! Inspiration to me! I have tried to cut way back on carbs. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. I have been diagnosed now. I am controlling it with diet now, but with our family history you never know so I need to get on the stick as well.
I will support you anyway I can. You can do this!

All I can say is sure to include regular weight lifting 4-6x a week (Rotate between upper and lower body every other day. And do planks every day. Get a trainer.) 30 mins of cardio a day too. Get a pedometer and shoot for 10,000+ steps a day to begin with. Way to go EmCat. Your babies are going to be sooo grateful. Aunt Bunny

I just started looking at this. I got your email when I was way sick, so I didn't read on. Haley asked if I had been following it, so here I am.... you are one of my faves. If it makes you feel any better, I've lost 10 lbs. from being sick and Ryan is only 10 lbs. heavier (he's lost some from running as well). Plus, you don't look 196 lbs, but I understand the frustration and if I wasn't pg would be on the bandwagon with you (maybe not the flaxseed). Good luck and I know you can do it, you have before!!! XOXO

Hi!

The key is consistency! Also try to eat foods that you will eat for the rest of your life and go organic whenever you can. We are thinking about you everyday and know that it is a marathon, not a sprint. Just take one day at at time. Your husband was asking me yesterday how many calories you should stick to and I told him between 1,200-1,300 max no zero fast food or anything processed. Good luck - we will see you next Friday!!!
